Manual therapy is based on a biopsychosocial model: pain is not purely a physical phenomenon, but is also influenced by psychological and social factors. Our therapists consider the whole person.
Following a thorough history-taking and functional assessment, targeted manual techniques are applied: mobilisation, manipulation, neuromuscular techniques and therapeutic exercises. The patient is actively involved in the healing process.
Our treatment table — the Manuthera 242 from Finland — allows precise positioning for optimal technique application. The goal is always an autonomous patient who can manage their complaints long-term.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a medical prescription?
For reimbursement by the INAMI, yes: a prescription from your doctor is required. You may still come without one for an initial assessment (not reimbursed).
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your situation, but many patients feel an improvement within 3 to 6 sessions. We reassess regularly — the goal is your autonomy, not more appointments.
Is manual therapy painful or risky?
No. Techniques are tailored to your tolerance and stay comfortable; mild soreness afterwards is normal and harmless. Nothing is « put back in place » — your body is robust, we mainly improve mobility and confidence to move.
Does a joint « crack » mean something is going back into place?
No — that sound is just a gas bubble in the joint, unrelated to effectiveness. Manual therapy works by restoring movement, not by « resetting » a bone or vertebra.
What problems is manual therapy for?
Neck, back, shoulder, hip or knee pain, headaches of cervical origin, stiffness and after-effects of injuries. After an assessment, we choose the most useful approach together.
What should I bring to the first session?
Your prescription (if you have one), your ID and any relevant exams (imaging, reports). Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move easily.
